Natural Face Scrub

To make it easier use the scrub under the category of your skin type. The same with face packs. Use only what is suitable to your skin. Though the homemade packs are very gentle and will not cause any harm, do keep in mind, any allergies you may have.

1. After a bath, and as a base for make-up use some diluted lime juice. Dab it on very lightly on the face. Wait for 10 minutes before using foundation or make up.

2. Diluted buttermilk is also dabbed on the face and left on the face for 10-15 minutes before any other application.

3. While preparing for a night out or a very special party, rub a cube of ice all over the face. Let it dry and then use make up.

4. Slice an apple very thinly. Place these on the face and leave for 15 minutes. These soak up extra oil and also helps to close pores.

5. Take 1/2 a cup of rice flour, and 1/2 a cup of mashed ripe papaya. Add the juice of 1/2 a lime. Wet the face and gently massage the face with the paste. Always do the neck also.

6. Take 1/2 cup of green gram powder, add 1 tablespoon of yogurt. Add enough water to make a paste. Use it to scrub the face gently. Wash with cold water. Do not use soap after the treatment.

Acne Problem??

According to the National Institutes of Health, nearly 85 percent of adolescents and young adults between the ages of 12 and 24 develop the condition, and some people continue to be affected into their forties and fifties.

“It’s important to remember that acne has both internal and external causes,” says Amy Baker, founder of Nature’s Cure, an innovative health and beauty products company. “However, there are some basic precautions you can take to help prevent breakouts.”

Here are some tips from Baker for people of any age who want to keep their skin clear:

  • Don’t pick, pop or squeeze, or otherwise mess with your skin. Squeezing blemishes or whiteheads can lead to infection or scarring. It almost always makes the acne you have worse.
  • Wash your pillowcase often and always use clean face towels. Dirty towels and pillowcases can harbor bacteria and germs that can make acne worse.
  • Be sure to pull your hair away from your skin when you sleep.
  • Try to shower as soon as possible after your workout since sweat combined with skin oils can trap dirt and bacteria in your pores.
  • Make sure to clean cosmetic brushes regularly in soapy water and throw out old, contaminated makeup.
  • Exercising regularly can help reduce stress and it increases blood circulation and oxygen penetration to the skin, which may help to prevent acne.
  • Drink at least 64 ounces of water a day to help "detoxify" the body from the inside out

Healthy Mind

It is better to die with memories than to live with only dreams."

"Sometimes love is for a moment, sometimes love is for a lifetime.
Sometimes a moment is a lifetime"

Feng Shui tips for your home

1) There should be no shoes or slippers lying around outside the main door of your house. Remove it if you can. Allow that space at the main door to be free and clear. The chi (energy) rides with the wind and will collect all the smell of those shoes and slippers into your house causing sickness. Ch’i then travels about in your house looking for water to stay but if there are no water fountains or fish tanks, then the Ch’i will be dispersed by wind.

2) There should be no television sets in your bedrooms: If you cannot get rid of that habit then after watching the television cover it with a plastic table cloth. Remember it has to be plastic and not simply cloth.

3) There should be no mirrors opposite your bed or at the side of your bed. Mirrors opposite the bed can attract a third party to the relationship. Therefore, do not place mirrors anywhere you like and especially in your bedroom.

4) Place an indoor water fountain in your home, position in a favourable area to attract whatever you want in your life.

5) If you already have a fish tank in your house, be careful. A fish tank placed correctly can bring about greater fortune, as you will tap on the "Divine Water Dragon's Den". But if you tap wrongly, it can cause you to have lawsuits, bankruptcy, work pressure, troubles and problems. If you noticed any of these after placing the fish tank for approximately four months, shift your fish tank to another location.

6) In your kitchen, ensure that opposite your stove there is no refrigerator, washing machine, washbasin and toilet. The fire and water crash causing family members to have disagreements.

Healthy food

Here are some tips for healthy eating:

  • Coconut is high in saturated fat; olives and avocados are high in monounsaturated fat and calories. Use these items sparingly to avoid getting too many calories from fat.
  • When vegetables, grains or legumes are cooked or processed, saturated fats or cholesterol are often added. For instance, egg yolks may be added to breads or pastas.
  • Canned, processed and preserved vegetables also may contain added sodium. And in some people, too much sodium (salt) can lead to high blood pressure. Some food companies are canning vegetables with less salt. "No salt added" varieties are also available. Look for these in the market or choose fresh or frozen vegetables.
  • Nuts and seeds tend to be very high in fat and calories, but most of the fat is polyunsaturated or monounsaturated (e.g., walnuts, almonds, pecans). Some varieties, such as macadamia nuts, are also high in saturated fat, so check the label. Nuts and seeds don’t have cholesterol and are good sources of protein.

Great Day starts with HEALTY MIND

For healthy mind

Sometimes we ask ourselves: What did i do to deserve this?
Why does God let these things happen to me?
Here is the explanation...

A daughter tells her mother how everything is going wrong for her; She probably failed her Math exam,

Her boyfriend just dumped her for her best friend.

In times so sad, a good mother knows just the thing to cheer up her daughter... “I make a delicious cake.” In that moment the mother hugged her daughter and walked her to the kitchen, while her daughter attempted to smile.

While the mother prepared the utensils and ingredients, her daughter sat across from her at the counter. Her mother asks,
“Sweetheart, would you like a piece of cake?”
Her daughter replies, “Sure, mom, you know how I love cake.”

“Alright...” the mother said, “Drink some of this cooking oil.” Shocked, the daughter responded,
“What?!? No way!!!

“How about a couple of raw eggs?”
To this the daughter responded, “Are you kidding?”

“How about a little flour?”
“No, mom, I’ll be sick!”

The mother responded,
“All of these things are uncooked and taste bad, but if you put them together...

They make a delicious cake!”

God works the same way. When we ask ourselves why does he make us go through these difficult times, we don’t realize the what/where these events may bring us. Only He knows and he will not let us fall.
We don’t need to settle for the raw ingredients, trust in Him... And see something fantastic come about!

God loves us so much...

He send us flowers every spring...

He makes the sun rise every morning...

And anytime you need to talk...He is there to listen!

He can live anywhere in the universe...

But He choses to live in your heart!

Have a Great Cake! Oops! I mean a GREAT DAY!

Be slim and trim

Easy way to slim down:

1- 2 carrots - cut it
2- 1 fresh cucumber
3- 1 lime
Grind all these ingredients and filter the water and drink it. Drink twice a day (morning and night).
GOOD LUCK!

The meanings of carnations include fascination, distinction, and love. Like many other flowers, different messages can also be expressed with the flower’s different color varieties. Light red carnations, for example, are often used to convey admiration, whereas the dark red version expresses deeper sentiments of love and affection. White carnations are associated with purity and luck, and pink carnations are often given as a sign of gratitude. In the early part of the 20th century, carnations became the official flower of Mother's Day in addition finding particular significance in many other cultures worldwide.

To this day, carnations remain a favorite flower choice for many different occasions. They are immediately recognizable flowers, and they possess a charm and allure that continues to captivate people around the globe. Diet in Adulthood

Our body requires different nutrients in varying proportions so as to maintain proper body functions. By the time one reaches adulthood, body growth, particularly in terms of height and body stature, stops to a certain extent. Despite the fact that there is not much of apparent growth, the breakdown and repair of body tissues goes on continuously even among adults. Therefore, adequate amounts of all the essential nutrients need to be provided to adults through their diets for maintaining both physical and mental health. Proper nutrition in adulthood ensures good health right until old age.

Various factors which affect our body needs for different nutrients include age, sex activity and the body weight, height and composition, ie, the body physique. Apart from these, climatic conditions, body growth, physiological and pathological stress also influence the body's need for various nutrients

Do You Know?
· Oils containing adequate amounts of mono-saturated and poly-unsaturated fatty acids MUFA and PUFA such as coconut oil, sunflower oil, soyabean oil, etc., should be included in the diets of adults so as to reduce the risk of hypertension, atherosclerosis and other cardiovascular disorders during middle age and old age.
· Adequate intake of calcium needs to be ensured during this age group to reduce the extent of osteoporosis which is normal phenomenon associated with ageing
· Women have higher iron requirements, so more of iron rich foods like whole cereals, pulses with husk, green leafy vegetables like amaranth, mustard leaves, bengal gram leaves, mint as well as the haeme iron sources such as liver kidney, egg yolk and mutton muscles etc. need to be provided in their diets.
· Care should be taken to include adequate amounts of raw fruits and vegetables so as to provide sufficient dietary fibre.

Foods To Calm You Down Fast

But true comfort foods do exist.

1. Berries, any berries Eat them one by one instead of M&Ms when the pressure's on. For those tough times when tension tightens your jaw, try rolling a frozen berry around in your mouth. And then another, and another. Since the carbs in berries turn to sugar very slowly, you won't have a blood sugar crash. The bonus: They're a good source of vitamin C, which helps fight a jump in the stress hormone cortisol

2. Oranges People who take a 1,000 mg of C before giving a speech have lower levels of cortisol and lower blood pressure than those who don't. So lean back, take a deep breath, and concentrate on peeling a large orange. The 5-minute mindfulness break will ease your mind and you'll get a bunch of C as well.

3. Dark chocolate
Okay, there's nothing in it that relieves stress, but when only chocolate will do, reach for the dark, sultry kind that's at least 70% cocoa. You figure if the antioxidant flavonoids in it are potent enough to fight cancer and heart disease, they've got to be able to temper tension's effects.

Daily facial care

Daily skin and facial care is much more effective in making us look beautiful than any cosmetics in the world. Here we are going to discuss some of the tips and tricks that we can use to make us look younger and more beautiful without spending too much of extra time and money:
  • Get a quick facial at home by splashing your face with lots of warm water and then massaging it with olive oil to moisturize your skin. Use a half-teaspoon of sugar for scrubbing your face and keep rubbing it until it melts away. Wipe off your face with a warm, wet cloth.
  • Use the toning mixture of equal parts of water and vinegar and dissolve few aspirins in it twice a day to counter any aging signs in your face. Vinegar flakes off dead skin cells while aspirin is a superb anti-acne product and is also effective on deep acne spots. However, it tends to make skin thinner like store bought toner and so sun block with at least SPF 15 should be used essentially everyday.
  • Wash your face several times a day and wipe off with a clean cloth to keep acne off the oily skin.
  • If your eyes look puffy or swollen, wash your face and cover your eyes with sliced potatoes or cucumbers for a few minutes. This is really effective in the morning.
  • Olive oil works well as face and eye makeup remover.
  • Clean you nails with white vinegar before applying nail polish for a smoother finish and make it last longer.
  • Olive oil mixed with melted beeswax is a great lip balm.

Chill Cucumber

Being as cool as a cucumber comes from the fact that the internal temperature of cucumbers remains 20 degrees lower than the external temperature on a hot day.

When buying cucumber for juicing, look for non-waxed which allows you to juice the cucumber in its skin. Always wash vegetables thoroughly before juicing.
It is an excellent source of silicon. Cucumber is good to rub on your skin, giving it elasticity resulting in a more youthful complexion. It is suspected to help in reducing hair loss.

Cucumber juice is usually mixed with other juices.

Look for firm cucumbers with a dark green, wrinkle-free skin. Will store in refrigerator for 6 days.

Cashew nuts

Key benefits of cashew nuts

Cashew nuts are significant sources of iron (essential for red blood cell function and enzyme activity), magnesium (promotes energy release and bone growth), phosphorus (builds bones and teeth), zinc (essential to digestion and metabolism) and selenium (has important antioxidant properties, thus protecting the body from cancer).

These nuts are also good sources of protein.

In comparison to other tree nuts, cashew nuts have a lower fat content. They are also, like all other tree nuts, cholesterol free.

Cashew nuts also contain significant amounts of phytochemicals with antioxidant properties that protects the body from cancer and heart disease.

How much cashew nuts to eat

Eighteen medium cashews count as one serving (30 grams). Don’t eat more than three servings per week, unless you need to gain weight – then you can add two more servings to your weekly intake. Always ensure that you are replacing other dietary fats. By simply adding the cashew nuts to your diet, you will add many extra calories to your diet.

Good news for chocolate lover

Could Chocolate Have A Potential Health Benefit?

There is good news for chocolate lovers: chocolate may actually be good for your health. Not only does it taste good, but chocolate may be a good source of essential nutrients. Studies done by the Mayo clinic, University of California, and Pennsylvania State University are saying that chocolate is a potential source of nutrients that can assist your body. Traditionally viewed as an unhealthy food, chocolate could prove to be more helpful than harmful.

Chocolate also contains antioxidants or flavanoids, in particular, which may help to prevent cardiovascular disease. Antioxidants help to prevent or delay certain damage to the body's cells and tissues as well as fight against free radicals. Not all chocolate contains an equal health benefit potential, however, which can be seen when comparing dark chocolate to milk chocolate. Dark chocolate contains more than twice the amount of antioxidants that milk chocolate does and has fewer calories. White chocolate, though, contains no cocoa, and therefore holds no real potential for nutritional benefits. If you are want to incorporate chocolate into your diet, dark chocolate would be best.

Bitter but better for health

The bitter gourd has excellent medicinal virtues. It is antidotal, antipyretic tonic, appetizing, stomachic, antibilious and laxative.' The bitter gourd is also used in native medicines of Asia and Africa.

The bitter gourd is specifically used as a folk medicine for diabetes. Recent researches by a team of British doctors have established that it contains a hypoglycaemic or insulin-like principle, designated as 'plant-insulin', which has been found highly beneficial in lowering the blood and urine sugar levels. It should, therefore, be included liberally in the diet of the diabetic.

For better results, the diabetic should take the juice of about four or five fruits every morning on an empty stomach. The seeds of bitter gourd can be added to food in the powdered form. Diabetics can also use bitter gourd in the form of decoction by boiling the pieces in water or in the form of dry powder.

So dont worry guyz! try it for a good results.. healthy life is a wealthy life!
